The agreement was signed by Dmitry Afanasyev, Chairman of the Board of the NAS Association, and Ng Hung Ning Norman, International Secretary General of WUAVF.
The document marks the first step towards a global partnership in autonomous technologies. The aim of the cooperation is not merely to exchange experience, but to build systemic links between the markets of Russia and the Asia-Pacific region.
The parties agreed to coordinate their efforts in several key areas:
• Infrastructure and innovation: jointly promoting advanced solutions and creating the conditions for their adoption.
• Stronger business ties: helping companies establish contacts and attract partners and investors.
• Sharing knowledge and standards: regular engagement on regulation, certification and best practice for autonomous systems in every environment, from the air to space.
• Joint events: taking part in forums, exhibitions, conferences and expert groups to promote projects and raise their international profile.
As a co-executor of the Russian President’s instruction to draft the national strategy for the development of autonomous systems through to 2036, the NAS Association sees this partnership as a vital instrument for integrating Russian developments into the global ecosystem.
WUAVF, one of the world’s leading organisations in unmanned aviation with extensive experience in China and the Asia-Pacific region, will serve as the NAS Association’s key bridge to these fast-growing markets.
“This agreement is a working platform for launching specific projects,” Dmitry Afanasyev noted. “Our task is to make Russian technology sought after abroad, and the world’s best practice adapted and put to use here. That systemic approach is exactly what underpins our strategy through to 2036.”
The agreement takes effect immediately and runs for five years, with the option of extension. It creates a solid basis for concluding specialised contracts in particular areas of cooperation.
